Recently Golden Paints in the USA launched QoR (Quality of Result) wc paints which have a water soluble polymer binder , which allows much more pigment to be used in the mixture, meaning in turn that the paint is brighter in colour and should be more permanent.
I've been playing around with these and am impressed so far. The colours don't lighten as much as the dry (watercolour often dries several shades lighter).
The texture of the paint is slightly different from the brands which I usually paint with , but I'm getting the hang of this.
So if you're looking for a new freshness for your watercolour paintings maybe you should give these a go ....
