This has been a busy start to the year. My studio is newly painted and I've taken the opportunity to have a big spring clean, which is always cathartic!
My exhibition "Painting With Words" opens at the Yealands Estate Marlborough Gallery , High St ,Blenheim on Friday 10th March and runs until Sunday 26th, so I hope that you'll call in and check it out. Each piece has its own haiku, telling the story behind the painting. The exhibition features some of my new collage work (such as the teapot!) which has been good fun and a new learning curve for me.
Holding a solo show is always a big job, not just the painting but also months of preparation, framing etc, so it's very satisfying to stand back and see it all come together in a beautiful gallery space.
