I didn't plan to start 2021 with a bout of pneumonia. This was going to be the year of health and happiness, and lots and lots of painting. Plenty of happiness, even as I coughed my way through the family Christmas, New Year and lots of welcome visitors.
But I'm slowly emerging from the tunnel and beginning to paint again, which is lucky, as I have an exhibition coming up at the Suter gallery in April and I need to get the works finished!
I'm preparing a number of paintings for the show - which is about how South Island farms sit with conservation land, as so many are close neighbours down here, some even doing both jobs.
So I'll keep working and watch this space!
